•Part-Time Police Assistant (Dispatcher / Police Aide) - APPLICATION (required):
EXAMPLES OF WORK (Illustrative Only): Operates radio communication system; files, updates and generally maintains criminal records; answers telephone and records messages; receives, sorts, indexes and files a variety of materials; operates a variety of standard office equipment; codes and classifies police reports and blotter entries via a computer terminal; operates a computer terminal to send and retrieve messages and motor vehicles and criminal data; prepares simple statistical reports; types letters, memos, reports and other correspondence; may handle, may correspond with insurance companies regarding requests for accident reports; does related work as required.


•Full-Time Police Officer Reinstatement Opportunity - APPLICATION (required):

EXAMPLES OF WORK (Illustrative Only): Patrols a specific district or beat on foot, or in a radio patrol car, may transport prisoners to the Dutchess County Jail or local courts; investigates accident scenes involving property and personal injury to gather information and facts; collects physical evidence and personal property from crime scene and secures same; does related work as required.

Zoning Board Alternate/Member - LETTER OF INTEREST (required)

The Zoning Board of Appeals is appointed by the Town Board and is responsible for the interpretation of the Zoning Code and the granting of special permits and variances.


Planning Board Alternate/Member – LETTER OF INTEREST (required)
The Planning Board is appointed by the Town Board and is responsible for reviewing and approving all Subdivisions and Site Plans, issuing Special Permits and commenting on proposed Local Laws referred to them by the Town Board.


Architectural Review Board Member – LETTER OF INTEREST (required)
Functions Architectural Review Board (ARB) approval is required for exterior architectural features of proposed construction, additions, alterations, or remodeling of buildings and structures in a B-1, B-2, I-1, I-2, I-3, PBN, PCP, PRDP, PRD and CRD zone, as well as any building in a cluster subdivision which contains two or more dwelling units, including attached and semi-detached units, and any buildings and/or structures approved as part of a special permit in any zone, except a special permit to expand a non-conforming residence under section 67-71. Architectural background is a plus.


Temporary Typist – APPLICATION (required)
This position provides secretarial and clerical support to a unit or department. While the specific duties vary with the needs of the office, the incumbent provides skilled keyboarding services in addition to a range of routine clerical served such as filing, photocopying, faxing, maintaining office supplies, sorting and distributing mail and other similar activities. While initially, assignments are limited in scope, employees eventually will be assigned duties of increasing difficulty. Work is performed under direct supervision and detailed instructions are given for new or difficult tasks. Supervision of others is not normally a function of this position.

Part-time Cleaner- APPLICATION (required)
This position provides routine cleaning tasks under general supervision.  Typical work includes but is not limited to dusting, washing windows and walls, vacuuming, change light bulbs, sweeping, mopping, gathers and disposes of refuse.
