Applications for Summer employment are now being accepted. All applications are due by February 1, 2018. Summer positions are open to adults and youth. Positions include, but not limited to, camp counselors, directors, jr. counselors, and lifeguards. Applications can be obtained at the Recreation Office, 5 Old Lime Kiln Rd. or online below. Absolutely no exceptions to the February 1st deadline.


Hopewell Recreation Park

This 60-acre recreation area, at 392 Route 376 (corner of Route 82), includes six baseball/ softball fields, four with lights; three lighted tennis courts; six lighted basketball courts; two lighted volleyball courts; a lighted roller hockey rink; an all-purpose field for football, lacrosse, etc.; a skateboard park; concession stand; two “Water Misters” at the playground, two pavilions with picnic tables; a gazebo and picnic area, a three-quarter-mile walking/jogging trail, a lighted ice skating pond, fishing, and the East Fishkill Community Center (890 Route 82) for meetings, senior citizen activities, cards, bingo and nutrition programs.

When summer camp is in session the park opens at 3:30.
Admission is free. All participants must wear helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads. The skate park will close at the discretion of the Town when conditions are deemed unsafe. If it is raining, or the ground is wet, the park will not open. For information, call 226-8395.

Parks and Recreation Sponsorship

East Fishkill Recreation offers one of the best recreation programs in the Hudson Valley with a variety of specialized programs for everyone. We offer athletic leagues for adults and youth, activities for our active senior citizens at the community center; aquatic programs and swimming at Red Wing Lake; numerous special events, bus trips, a fully accessible playground, and a fitness center. Our outdoor space includes over 165 acres of beautiful parks and well groomed athletic fields.

Our mission is to maximize the benefit and enjoyment of parks, programs, and activities utilizing town resources in an effective, efficient, and responsive manner. You can show your community support and maximize your business exposure by becoming a Parks and Recreation Sponsor. By doing so, your business will be able to connect with the citizens of East Fishkill of all ages and interests. Sponsors are offered a variety of promotion and public awareness outlets in exchange for their commitment. With multiple sponsorship levels available, there is an option for a business or organization of any size. Senior Citizen Programs

Seniors meet Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10-2pm at the Community Center 890 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.

East Fishkill Senior Citizens have many activities thoughout the year, including picnics, holiday parties, guest speakers, and classes in art, exercise, and computers.

Seniors interested in participating may sign up at the East Fishkill Community Center on meeting days from 10-2.

East Fishkill Senior Citizens have monthly bus trips to theaters, musical shows, restaurants and more! Day and overnight trips include: Casinos cruises, dinner theater, Broadway plays, guided bus tours, Radio City Music Hall, and race tracks.

2018 Summer Children's Camp

Our summer camp is for boys and girls ages 6-14.The child must be six (6) and no older than fourteen (14) by June 26, 2018 to attend. The 7-week camp runs from Tuesday, June 26 to Thursday August 9 - meeting from 8:30am to 2pm daily. Camp is closed Wednesday, July 4. The fee is $375 per child. Each camper will receive a shirt. Youngsters may ( but are not required to ) attend daily.


Registration: Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6-7:30 pm, Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 9-11 am, and Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 6-7:30 pm at the Community Center (890 Route 82).

There will be a late registration fee of $25.00 per child after May 23, 2018

Late registration will take place on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 9am to 2pm at Hopewell Recreation.

Please bring Proof of Residency ( Tax bill ), a Birth Certificate, and updated immunization record to registration.

EAST FISHKILL is home to numerous sports leagues many of which are run independently as not-for-profits by volunteer community members. The Town of East Fishkill permits these leagues to utilize town park space for organized athletics of East Fishkill residents. Winter Basketball, Youth    YOUTH BASKETBALL WEBSITE

The intramural program, for grades 3-8, is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game in a recreational setting.

For grades 9-12, there is an open gym to provide an opportunity for organized play in a supervised setting.

The season runs from November until the end of February.

Volleyball, Adult co-ed

Summer co-ed volleyball meets at the lighted courts in Hopewell. To register a team or an individual , please contact the Recreation Office (226-8395) in April and May.

The Co-Ed League is limited to 12 teams (with a minimum of 10 co-ed players per team) with six games every Tuesday and Thursday night.

Players must be 16 years or older. Games are played June through August, 7-10pm.

Winter co-ed volleyball takes place Sundays from October through April 9:00am-11:30am at Van Wyck Jr. High School.

Background Checks are  REQUIRED for coaches participating in any sport in the Town of East Fishkill.  Follow the information in the link below to register and complete the background check.  The background check will be good for two years. It must be completed by new coaches before the start of any season. (example: If you were checked and approved in 2017 you are good until 2019).


Once you submit your information it will take 5-7 days to process. Check your emails for a letter from Verified Volunteers which will indicate that your background check is complete. Once you receive the letter that you are eligible to coach bring a copy of the letter to the Lime Kiln Recreation Office for a coaches card. The card is free of charge.

Lime Kiln Recreation is located at 5 Old Lime Kiln Rd. Office Hours Mon-Fri 6:00 am - 8:00 pm and Sat-Sun 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
