Hillside Lake Water Quality Improvement Projects

Due to a potential issue with funding, the Hillside Lake Water Quality Improvement Project has been postponed until further notice.


Hillside Lake Micro Wetland Basin Project (Currently being reviewed by the NYSDEC and the U.S. ACOE)

This Project will allow the construction of 3 small artificial wetlands to remove sediment.  The Basins are proposed to be located at Locations "A", "B" and "C" of the Dredging Project diagram below.


Hillside Lake Dredging Project (Permitted by the NYSDEC and the U.S. ACOE)

This Project will remove a total of approximately 100 cubic yards of sediment from the Lake at several outfall locations.

 


Hillside Lake Water Quality Improvement Project (Permitted by the NYSDEC, currently being reviewed by the U.S. ACOE for renewal/extension)

After years of planning and attaining State Grants, the Hillside Lake Water Quality Improvement Project will be going out to bid on April 7, 2017.

The project consists of the construction of an artificial wetlands in vicinity of the beach area, and the redirection of street drainage towards the wetland.

Once the project has been awarded to the winning Contractor, the drawings can be posted online.  Until then we have posted a draft, conceptual drawing below.
